WAR (Warhammer Online)

Ok, my pre-load is completely downloaded. Now im having issues just figuring out how to install it. I think that i need a directx plug in but cant figure out which one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure what the issue is you are experiencing.  Can you provide some information as to what is happening that you can not figure out?  An Error Code?  Message you get?

Download, unzip, run Setup or Warpatch.

Can you provide the error you are getting?

I had an error too, since I have windows vista I didn't have directx 9, maybe if you download it that can help you.

Sounds like he hasnt unzipped the file yet,If this is the case you will need something like winrar etc to unzip it the you can run the unzipped file through setup.exe

Before this afternoon I was just getting the login popping up everytime I ran the install exe or patcher. Now you should be able to login with your master account name/pass and it will patch.  Then should be able to launch and see servers.

Shit I didnt even see warpatch. Which one should i use to install? God they need a better readme for computer noobs like me.

I just opened the shortcut it puts on desktop.  Logged in and it patched.

Heh, download the zipped file, unzip it, then run the SETUP program.  That will install the game.  Then run Warpatch to activate/patch the program and enter.  If you do not have DX9/10 make sure ya grab it prior to install.

error message is "Warhammer requires a later version of Directx components that are installed" it goes on to say it will now exit and bring me to the correct microsoft page. even while i followed their directions at microsoft, it still refused to co-operate. makes me think im not installing the right version of directx.

There is nothing to unzip like the previous poster said, just click the "setup". The rest is self explanatory, you dont really install the game like you would with a typical game. After you did the setup you will have a new shortcut that says "Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning Beta", click that and it will patch it up (the patch is extremely small) and you will have the option to login.

If you are having directx errors make sure you update to the latest version from microsoft.
