I like them both. I'm just a sucker for that kind of cinema. I would stand in line in the rain to see a feature length film like those 2. I'm not a WoW fan but I've always loved their trailers, cool stuff. And the War one just kicks a.. So I refuse to decide, I want more of both.

The Wotlk one was good in an artisitic sense, but if I knew nothing about WoW it would not sell the game to me. Nothing really happened that told me of what the game is, and it was not particually exiciting as someone else said I was waiting for the action to start. But its an expansion so it is not surprising, most people buying it will be fans already and know what to expect. Warhammer online trailer was also good, but I half expected them to start talking about mount doom, frodo and all that stuff because it is a incredibly cliche storyline along the same lines of lotr/high fantasy fiction (WoW is the same but I am talking of what comes across in the trailer). But the trailer itself is very good and is much more informative about what the game is, was quite a lot of humour in it as well. I would say the Warhammer online one is better, but as has been said this is a full game. It should be better, it is meant to sell a new game to us rather than sell an expansion to a established game. |

theyre both really good, but made in two different styles. WoW is much more like a trailer for a movie, with a strong musical background and large shots, with a long narration. WAR is much more direct and shows the different abilities for the classes, so I would say WAR is more akin to a traditional video game trailer. Both are excellent. |

May contain nuts. |
I was really excited when I saw that the WotLK trailer was out, but as a previous poster said, it left me sadly underwhelmed. I remember when TBC came out and the opening trailer literally gave me goosebumps. WotlK did nothing of the sort. WAR on the other hand has a great video - lots of action and although the CG isn't *quite* up to Blizzards standards it was still fantastic to watch. It's just a terrible shame that the game doesn't come anywhere near to the frenetic and exciting action that the video depicts. :( |

WOTLK Intro movie
Why? It has a story. Not some mindless bashing of eachother. The WOTLK intro movie has a interesting story. It makes people who do enjoy reading quests wonder what is going to happen.
The WAR Trailer is nothing special. I mean, sure its fun how the little goblin get's eaten by it's pet. But.. so what?
What does it tell you? Both movies are totaly different. One is epic because of the fights, and the other one is epic because of the story it has to tell and the asumptions that are able to be made from it.
WAR trailer is more like a Rambo movie WOTLK is more like a well.. something bit more intellegent. |
