The way they fed us that story seems to indicate they want us to believe their game is very successful. The way they blurred factual data indicates that they are having problems there. After all, its not about shipped product, its about sold product.

if ur some kind of conspiracy theorist i am sure there is data on it, but there have been large scale announcements on the likes of IGN.com ect yada yada, about 400k copies "sold" first week, 500k on updated total about 4 or 5 days ago. Its (Said) to be the fastest selling MMO next to WoW. Ill update with the article that states off of facts AOC being faster selling than bignames like WoW, COD4, and other bigname franchise... the reason why Funcom is faster selling than WOW on release is

because WOW did not launch in Europe until 3 months later in 2/11/2005

its not a beauty pagent, its almost like everything HAS to have a reason. its almost like this is all some conspiracy and AOC is in fact doing terribly bad because WoW waited to sell in europe. Meh doesnt matter, but you should also take into the accout of the ESRB rating, while WoW was open minded to every days joes, hardcore gamers, and 9 yr olds, AOC is strictly MA, sure that wont stop kids from getting ahold of it, but it will surely reduce there parents from buying it for them on there birthday or being all for them playing a game with tits and decapitations. Overall its just a fact that there will be less 9yr olds on this game than WoW, but i still really want to find a census on that.

no conspiracy but some facts are

AOC sales in North America has not outsold WOWs launch in North America

AOC sales in Europe has not outsold WOWs launch in Europe

I would assume this is good because before hand, the game was selling too fast and they did not have enough product, so seeing how over 500,000 consumers have baught the game, they decided to ship another 500,000 boxes in hopes that over time, another 500,000 will sell, its quite a risky investment, seeing as it costs lots to ship those games. You make it sound like some publicity stunt thought, its just money, just money $$$

700k units were shipped for launch, 500k+ units have sold, 300k units were just shipped.
