Looks like AoC has officially dropped below Eve in xfire with LoTR coming up next as it sinks down the charts....

Gogogo LOTRO!

It's obvious that the Preview of WAR is affecting AoC. We have to wait until the release of WAR, WLK and MoM to see the real results.

Even if LoTR wasn't gonna pass AoC by the end of the week warhammer is gonna kill this game and leave a game like LoTR with little impact.    Warhammer is definitely competing with AoC both being pvp oriented etc.  So I'm expecting a lot of the same people that came to AoC looking for a better game will be moving to Warhammer.  Games like LoTR, EQ2, and Vanguard will probably see far less impact since they are PvE oriented.  Wow will probably see the largest impact from any game yet.

Regarding the X-fire numbers, it seems to me as if they have stabilized somewhat now.

No

Peak last week was 14713, this week the peak was 12,039 a drop of about 2600 or another 15+%

Next week it will probably peak at about 10k and will almost certainly drop below LoTR.  Last week it dropped below Eve and now it has a large margin below eve and the LoTR margin is getting smaller daily.

But with warhammer coming out soon it is going to take a huge hit.  I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of September it falls below SWG.

Yes, WAR will hit AoC very hard I believe. Much more so than primarily PvE games like EQ2, VG and Lotro.

edit: he, which I see now is exactly what you said above...
