Funcom has posted the update notes for the most recent expansion for Age of Conan: Hyborean Adventures.

Massive PvP

• Player city keeps now contain a vendor that sells siege weapons.
• Players will now get teleported out of the zone before the battle starts.
• Traders that would not spawn at the Battlekeep Tradeposts will now spawn. Traders will now be available at Battlekeeps.
• Ballista NPCs will no longer spawn at an unbuilt tower.
• The Boarder Kingdoms has had its environments adjusted. This should reduce draw-distance in those playfields and contribute to a performance-increase.

Player Character

Archetypes

• Mages will now do less damage with ranged weapons to set them apart from specialized ranged weapon classes like the Ranger.

Assassin
Core Revision Adjustments

• Kidney Shots will now properly go on cooldown, is now stackable for 12 second from the original 6 seconds and it's stacking buff duration has been increased to 10 seconds.
• Flesh Necrosis has been given a new and improved visual.
• Atrophy has an added persistent effect on the target while the debuff is in effect.

• Performance: A number of code changes have been made to improve client performance.
• New advance video options have been added for particles. Turning down the particle settings will increase performance.

Necro now completely broken. They nerfed the weakest class to death.. insane..

Sure sounds like beta to me.

Yeah it feels like a beta as well, this patch introduces a number of bugs, one of them is a CDT that happends every single time you open your tradeskill book (alchemist)....their testers must be amazing to miss something like that. -_-

I have to say the chance of me resubbing after seeing the game thus far, is rather unlikly. It's buggy as all hell, the support is the worst I have ever seen. Petitions auto delete themselves making you have to stay online for hours upon hours if you ever hope to get your problem fixed. The game content starts to really thin out 50+

Just another fine example why Age of Conan is still in beta. Paid beta at that.

You'd think FC would've learned how not to "balance", after AO. Wishful thinking as, obviously, they've learned nothing.

Then again, same goes for their (lack of) customer support and their (seemingly non-existant) QA dept.

"So much potential ruined by greed, shortsightedness and stupidity" should be the standard motto of MMOs, I swear.

I just hope the other up-and-coming heavyweights learn from FC's screw-ups. Of about three-score friends that signed up for AoC EA.... 2 are still playing but are now bored (mostly due to all their friends cancelling and their guilds being ghost towns); the rest cancelled their subs before the free days were up and re-subbed to WoW.

More significantly, perhaps, is that none of my PvP friends renewed their sub. None! That speaks volumes, all by itself.

Someone want to wake me up when it finally comes out of beta? I figure I'll get a good, long sleep, at this rate.

sorry to say, but im on the 'cancelled sub, waiting for fixes' bandwagon.

I blame Eidos in all of this, They are the publisher, they are the reason the game is in the shops now instead of in closed beta still - where it belongs. Greed and ineptitude on a grand scale.

Just hope the backlash against Funcom isnt too severe.

I'd really like to see Age of Conan in all its glory.

Right now i have a level 60 babarian. from 1 - 50 it was quite fun. now the content is spead so thin that grinding in repeatable daily solo dungeons is the norm.

Khm ... you mean the STRONGEST class? I was wondering why have increased its power as is already a joke to do quests solo where I could only dream with nearly any other classes. Of course, played right.

However ... I play only PVE and prefer solo. All my experience is related to this. And in group quests or raids is better not to get agro from elites. That's it. For the rest ... rocks.  Now at lv. 20 you get 8 (EIGHT) minions, around same level FEAR spell, spell to suck life from one minion which in turn sucks from mobs, you can frenzy one mob, .... It is very fun to play but actually too easy! I just want to have one high level alt and that will be I guess necro (maybe demo) .... Then I will go back to experiment with others.

And have created all possible classes up to lv. 20, then I had to dump many to make place to others to try.

And the best for solo I have found is NECRO (currently 29)! Followed by DEMO (currently 38), followed by POM.
