CONs with PROs F2P game with a P2P option - is the first i've seen in an MMORPG. I know the game is lacking alot of content and features, but with what it's got...it damn good for F2P. One of the greatest things about this game is "freedom". You can bind almost any key to the action bars, allowing customizable controls to suit the players' gameplay. Regional Chat - for P2P accounts, offers a buy-gold-ad-spam-free chat channel. Game is not Item Shop reliant. Most of the things in item shop will give ya a boost but will not overpower you. You can play the game from 1-69, maybe touching the Item Shop only once or twice(*cough* Master SKill Reset). The game lacks quests, but offers scroll quests. Scroll quests aren't that great but when you do alot of them and turn them all in, they give a fair amount. Not too great at all...but scroll quests are repeatable and always there for ya. (I still think its just there cuz the game lacks quests) Guards don't do anything at all in the game, they'll just watch your silly butt get pwned outside the starting city of the PK area (Nova Lux) - community complaint about the guards not regulating as seen in other MMOs. However, PKing players are usually hunted and the community will help you fight against them. Murderers, whom are guildless, cannot join guilds either so they're fugged :P The grind and dungeons is what seperates the casual gamers from the dedicated gamers. Grinding more = level faster. Dungeons = better gear. :: The game is brand-new and there's still alot to patch up in the game and the developers know this. Just visit the forums to get a peak at whats to come. Heck their official forums even has a "suggestion" sticky that is updated continually. |

I totally agree with you Overpower.
Late at night, all the lights out on my 19th floor condo. Volume up, attached to TV. Great fun, big lack of story line, like you said, but they can develop that with updates/expansion now that they know everyone is craving good content.
You pretty much hit the nail on the hammer. This game will become boring if you are looking for character depth and a good accompanying story. Have faith I think. They know we all want more.

Scroll quests are repeatable? What the hell? I didn't know that, I just thought once you completed them that was it. Holy crap, I'm going to go re-do a bunch of them and get a ton of exp on one my guys And did you know you could compound xeons to form better xeons? Like a +2 int xeon compounded with a +1 mp regen xeon makes one +2 int, +1 mpr xeon. That blew my mind the other day (it's expensive though) There is a serious lack of information in the game and on the website in regards to the little details that turn out to be very important. Seriously |

I don't know where the whole scroll quests being repeatable thing came from myself, it sure didn't work the last time I tried it. I WISH I could, it'd be a small boost in the grind for any time I need to head back to town anyway (since I could get far more than that 5% experience in the time it takes to load town, turn in the quest, and run back to my farming spot), but it's generally not likely. |

Yeah, it's not repeatable. I just checked. That blows, and I'm surprised I didn't think of checking before. Maaaannnn. That would have helped with the grind, quests cover up the fact that MMOs are all grinds anyway |

>< sorry, haven't checked up on this topic for awhile. I meant, scroll quests are repeatable as you get them every level not that you can do the same one over and over. BTW, I hit level 60+ and the only thing to do is to raid Briska and RH weekly then...sit around and pk enemies. The game is incomplete, but as more patches come...more content does too, as you saw with the recent addition of the race Xenoa. |

The upcoming new update in the works looks to be interesting too, as it aims to basically buff the majority of the Hunter skills and finish the incomplete list of DNA abilities. I think they might've said something about beefing up the Launcher a little more too, like they plan to add even *more* range to the blasted thing. It's by far my favorite class yet, the only gripes I could say I have are that during your entire career you get maybe two Knuckles skills (three if you count one of the Launcher buffs will be adjusted to apply to the Knuckles too), most of the Launcher skills have that annoying second of casting time and generally get redundant for what they do, and by the time you're able to tame a new wild beast either you don't need one anymore or you enter a level range that doesn't have any that you can tame. Oh, and usually by the time you put one to work, it either gets itself killed because it doesn't heal itself quickly enough between battles, or you kill the mob before it gets an attack in. >_o The last I checked the forums though, it seems as though the general consensus is that the Battle Magician is kinda the booby prize. Looking over their skill list, it feels like they want to be Shamans, but they're not. They just don't excel in enough of anything to be a go to caster class. But at any rate, I'm now up to one Hunter and one Warrior at level 30... And I'm still enjoying trying out the classes, I want to try a Templar, and I have a 10 Kruxena who I'm still on the fence to which path that should take. At this point, Requiem has pulled ahead as my surprising go-to MMO. If Warhammer continues to run extremely poorly on my PC after launch (most scenarios are almost over before I load the map and get halfway into the fight), I might just pick up a Basic or Premium subscription and continue playing this. Just about the only thing I can complain about for the game as a whole is to start adding more quests around the board... Once you hit the late 20's, you kinda burn through most of your quest chains faster than you can level up enough to qualify for more, and I'm sure it just spirals downward from there. |

The game is pretty laggy and I always get disconnected from the server... thought they fixed that or something. |

Its pretty laggy because they are running 3 games off 1 line owned by Cogent. Now they are also testing Ragnarok Online with a 50x rate server and buy NPCs which will most likely create alot more requests through that line. The lag is going to be there unless they get another line or switch providers. |

Eh, true true. Why don't they add another server? |
