    • Impressions about WAR after 3 days of gameplay...great
    • People seem to forget about WoW's 4 years of polish and additions. Of course it'd be nice to have things like item links, but right now, Mythic has much bigger concerns. It's a good feature however and Mythic listens to their community, so since the majority would enjoy it I think it'll be implemented sooner rather than later. I want to see them tackling the big issues during the first month, like stability and performance, then add in the extras after that.

Glad you're enjoying it though! As for "if it's different at level 40 or not", the game is designed around PvP first (class balance wise) so, if anything, it'll be more fun - but still balanced - because you'll have more skills and abilities .

    • This is almost exactly how I feel, except I'd add that it's a little rough around the edges performance-wise right now - lots of high end machines having stuttering and hitcing, so let's hope Mythic takes care of that ASAP. However, this game is great for people who are tired of WoW, but not tired of WoW. Meaning you're tired of Warcraft, you're not tired of the auto-attack/skills combat system, questing, and all the things that'd make a game a "WoW clone".

In fact, for me, this is how WoW should've been.

Probably because WoTLK is the EXPANSION of a game that already has 10,000,000 players and Warhammer is a brand new game? ? ? ? ? ?

WoW fanboys are too stupid to understand this. They think WAR already has millions of subs or something. They say WotLK will be super awesome because it's Blizzard! Yeah, Blizzard has had one expansion and 4 years and, what, at least $15 million a month to learn and expand. Then they say WAR sux because it's not WoW. Or, <insert problem here that ALL new MMOs have because they're rough around the edges>.

Or something stupid like "I don't like the setting IT'S THE GAME'S FAULT NOT MINE LAWLAWLAWL"

I played WoW, I enjoyed it, time for something where my actions have a purpose (other than selfish grinding and leetsauce gear in a frozen continent where you can 10-man one of the most "badass" villains in WoW.)

Listen, I like to look at it more as you have much more freedom in WAR. It still has restrictions, such as levels and stats, but you aren't forced to PvE or PvP (only). You can do both. Now because of this, WAR can't be the king of both PvE and PvP...it would take years and years to develop and get just right. Because they trademarked RvR and it's their thing, they focus on the PvP more - but it's not the only thing there. While the PvE content may not be as good as some other games, it's better than many games. This means that it's still there! Why would you ignore it just because it's not super-hardcore?

On paper, WAR has two very important things - choice and motivation. No matter what you do you're helping your realm, which means you might do an extra quest that normally you'd skip. But you also have a choice to do a scenario instead, if you want to PvP instead of PvE - that's your choice. I hope WAR truly delivers these two things (I believe it will) because if so, many people will like it.
