RG wastes millions upon millions of dollars on Tabula rasa, he jumps ship into space, and then they annouce a closure. This game was hyped up so big, and had the funding and people to make it big, it shows no matter how much money u throw at things, or how good a game designer you once were, it does not gurantee sucess. Make no mistake about this Ncsoft made huge losses on this game.

Actually, AoCs animations floats mighty fine, WARs is another matter sadly.
Everyone sees the difference when playing WotLK. That world is alive. The breath of characters show little white circles, birds in the sky, rabbits on the grass,...
Every inch in Northrend shows you are playing in a living world. Why revamp an engine if that engine is simply better than what we had to endure these last months?
Because the hardware is changing fast. What was the GFX card that was the hot stuff in april 2004? compare it with what is out today. And multi core processors, a computer handles a lot more. Besides, it is not WAR or AoC that will show us what an GFX engine can make, it is Guildwars 2. Guess who is programming it? Jeff Strain, the guy who made wows engine.
Seen the graphics on KOTOR already? Why do you think they use these same kind of graphics in MMO's?
Because Old republic online is still in early alpha? I am not talking about the art style but about effects and high resolution.
Pixels don't make a good videogame. Ever counted the pixels in the Pokemon games ? 50 million copies sold. Meaning: graphics don't sell subscriptions or games. Gameplay does.
Diablo is a great game, but it is old so almost no one plays it. Games will get too old, you have to accept that one day will wow look as old as Diablo do today.
You really think they still can be the biggest MMO then?
Blizzard knows this themselves, that is why they are making a new MMO (Wow maybe 2?).
LoL nobody plays diablo????? Lol Diablo and D2 probably has more current players than war., aoc, lotro, and vanguard combined. Infact all of blizzard games probably have more players currently playing them than all the games listed on this site put together X10.

i really want to know. it bogles my mind.
Why doest it boggle your mind? You find a popular game that millions play boggling? maybe you should then start to wonder why is anything popular that anyone plays, or uses or buys etc. Or infact why does anyone play anything.
Its a banned user, making a new accont, to start a flame war, and spew more wow hatred. His post just reeks of shit.

not true to all mmorpgs. I've played in a group for over 12 hours in FFXI without leaving for training (since there is none) or anything else. over that 12 hours only 1 person had to be replaced, because he had to leave. If you want a game where you can find a group and stick with them the entire day, FFXI is a good choice
so you played in 1 group in ff for over 12 hours? Wtf were u doing for over 12 hours?
What is your favorite of EVE's four major factions?
