Looks like the new patch notes are out and they are huge. It is mainly class balancing but there is a lot of stuff in there. Including the new Classes. I'll post the highlights, but the patch notes can be found at www.warherald.com/warherald/NewsOverview.war
* New Careers Released! - With this version we are happy to announce the release of the Empire’s Knight of the Blazing Sun, and the Dark Elf’s Black Guard! These new careers are available early for players who have successfully completed the Heavy Metal Event!
* Mastery Point Refunds – Due to a number of significant changes to many of our careers, we are providing a full Mastery Point refund to certain careers. Players who belong to one of the careers below will need to speak with a Trainer to retrain their Career Mastery:
o Bright Wizard
o Chosen
o Engineer
o Ironbreaker
o Magus
o Shadow Warrior
o Sorcerer
o Squig Herder
o Swordmaster
* Morale Responsiveness - Morale abilities will now be much more responsive. These abilities will now fire immediately when activated by the player on the first attempt, and will display their cooldowns correctly at all times.
* Root Responsiveness - We have made a number of adjustments to root spells to ensure that they break properly and feel more responsive to players. Changes include a chance to break on ANY damage including DoT damage, as well as a 5 second immunity to being rooted again after the current root effect breaks.
* Auto-Attack Animations - Improvements have been made to auto-attack animations. Players will now see smoother, more consistent weapon swaps when players change from ranged to melee auto-attacks, and vice versa.
* Ability Activation Responsiveness - The responsiveness of ability activations has been improved. Players will now see less of a delay between the activation of an ability and the corresponding animation.
* Guild Promotion/Demotion - Fixes have been made to issues which were causing guild promotion and demotion to not work properly.

People are saying MMOs last longer than other games, but thats just because they dilute content through level-grind.
Its like going to a bar, paying 15 dollars for a gyn tonic and find that the gyn has been waterd down.
I think people are forgeting about property. Its like the blue rays, you don't buy the disk, you just "rent" the tecnology from sony
Just think about it, you have already paid for the game box, the same amount you could have payed for any single player game, but after the first month you have yo continue paying if you wan't to playing
. Why did you have to pay for the box then? Its not like you can continue playing ofline, neither you can start your own server (like with neverwinter)
Also, i remember back then, when WoW was about to be released many people thought that paying monthly for an game was insane. To counter this WoW promised an "evolving" world (it was in the box) in which content would be added on a regular basis, still most of WoW patches have been to adress balance issues, which should have been fixed from the beginning. (for the 1º year there wasn't really new content added and after that, only a camp here and there where added)
It should be worth mentioning LOTRO, which is kinda faithfull to its players and has expanded with many new features that didn't ask for extra money, like housing or being able to dress as you like.
Its funny how in this modern times companies can screw their customers demanding more and more from them and striping them from the rights of owning what they have paid for, and people is still happy to accept the companies terms, instead of rising against them claming that, after all "The customer is always right".
The MMO subscription fee is just like paying for any other service. The initial box sale is to have access to that service in the first place. Kind of like when you have to buy a cell phone and then later pay a service fee to actually use it. Using your own logic why do I have to keep paying to use my phone? I already payed for the phone but it's useless unless I keep paying them.
MMO's are services and the way I see it you are paying for the service for how it is NOW. You aren't paying for how it was or is going to be. So just like any other service, if I feel unsatisfied with it I can cancel it. It's not like the developers have the costumer by the balls and are forcing them to play their product.
I'm really baffled by all this ranting of WAR being in the bargain bin...you guys are aware Black Friday just passed?

I reached Konschtat Highlands last night before going bed. It took me an hour and half to get there.
And what I saw?
25 people looking for party. I was amazed. Though there were (only) five people around my level, still good enough. My only problem now is maps.
I have FFXI installed on both PC and Xbox360. After trying out both, I prefer Xbox360. I'd prefer PC for chatting though. Typing on Xbox360 messenger was a major letdown.
You should be able to buy some maps in Selbina but I forgot exactly where the merchent is. Just ask around and I'm sure someone will help.
Also just plug a USB keyboard into your 360 and you can type just as easily as PC.
What is your favourite Rogue archetype class in Age of Conan?
