If they released now it would be stupid. They won't be able to compete with the big titles that just came out. That aside I would rather wait for a finished game than buy another "we'll patch it together" piece of shit like vanguard/AoC/Warhammer the last 3 big releases in my opinion. And pirates of the burning sea, what the hell happened to that game. Anyway this game NEEDS to be polished because the consumers are sick of this bullshit, and because they are kind of new, so they cant be buggy because that will get people frustratied for the wrong reasons. Its true they have let us down yet again, but it may be for the right reasons.
um when!?!?
I can't imagine investing my money in an MMO. They are all scams now. Even WoW i think will start to lose subs, no one is really producing quality products in my opinion. My personal favorite game was Everquest because it was difficult, fun, and not all about the end game. Most games are easy and dare I say mindless in many cases and call button mashing innovative. Spam A to attack instead of auto attack, thats innovative right? (Auto attack exsisted for a reason) Im hoping to find a niche game I can get into which is why I check these forums every day. Im looking for something like lineage 2 I think, which is why I think Aion is looking swell.
Anyway the point is that i dont know how these MMOs are finding investors when they all seem to be chewed up and spit out by the market. Sometimes I wonder if we are too picky and as a community like doing it. I guess that makes no sense at all, maybe thats blaming the victim of all these horrible releases. You cant invest in these though because every game is playing up its wonderful qualities, not delivering, and epicly failing.
This was a swell post.
Perhaps their priorities are in content. If they had great graphics they would be flamed because they want everyone to buy a new rig. The graphics are good, they aren't amazing, but from what I hear AoC and Warhammer crap out when you get into big team battles even with an adequate computer. Not only is it likely that the graphics are intentionally controlled for seamless battles instead of slide shows, but I couldn't care less if they provide a stimulating game. I will understand what is happening as long as I can see humanoid figures, pointy objects, and firey projectiles.
I dont mean to say that its a horrible thing to critisize Darkfall for its graphics, but I dont think its "funny" at all.
