  • um....i wouldn't buy it just yet...tis not ready. i'm looking for the 6 month mark to really gauge how its doing.

    Point is that they are not lying.  THey are giving out facts about the game - their opinion about the game and also the reason why they keep posting.

    All of this are valid reasons to keep on pointing out what went wrong with AOC and what is still going on with the game.

    Im sorry I have to disagree with you. Why? Because how can you give a fact on anything if you haven't been actively playing for several months. Im not saying you personally, im saying people that come on here and claim to be posting facts on a game that they cancelled the first 2 or 3 weeks.

    Those people aren't providing facts, they are trying to provide anger filled false facts based on 2 or 3 weeks of game play and sometimes on lvls 1-20. If you played to lvl 80 and you come here and post nothing but negative garbage to people, there must of ben something you liked about the game to keep you around 80 levels.

    Also how many hundreds if not thousands of posts do we need to point out what others think is wrong with a game, these days they are all pretty much saying the same thing.

     

    

    Well put.  Also puts a lot of people on the spot.  Why would you play to lvl 80 if you hated the game soo much? 

    
     

    80 is when the "ok, now what?" questions started popping up....i hit 80 without even trying way too fast. also, plenty of people were enjoying the game until it got patched down in quality.  plenty more are saying the pvp patch is a make or break patch for them or thier guild...but they are just hanging on long enough to see what happens with it.

    oh, and some people will just complain as a form of conversation :)

    Ehem, in WAR you get both exp and renown from PvP(aka. RvR).

    Just thought I would point that out.

     

    On the video:

    Erling needs to make an account on the MMORPG forums and explain to me why PvP is not a big feature.

    Games are basically split up into 3 very important areas; PvE, PvP, and Crafting

    ah true...i keep forgetting i got my first 5 lvls off of just pvp lol.

    anyway, as i stated before, i think he is talking about the pvp exp and fugitive system that isn't a major feature. its not really...unless you honestly can't tell how much fun your having in pvp unless the bar goes up

    Most of his responces seemed fair. But what he was saying...without saying it, is that AoC was released to early. If he wants to gain peoples respect admit to that.

    The bit about pvp not being a major aspect of the game is laughable.

    The bit about forum moderation is laughable. Anyone saying game is crap has their post removed and their access deleted. It doesnt happen to people saying the game is great? Whats the difference?

    Again Mrbloodworth you wont reply to this post as you cant.

    
     

    "I Quit" posts can quite possibly contain statements that break the ROC on the official boards and therefore will be deleted, simple as that. If you want to go thru the first 3 pages of the general discussion right now you will find several negative posts in 90% of the ones created in there. You will find people who have left who still hang aroung, look at every thread "Protus-War" posts in and every post from people with the "copy the warhammer bunny in your sig" types. Its plainly evident mods are leaving negative threads on the whole but do delete ones that go against the ROC.

    PvP to Erling might not be the main interest to him in game. As gamers we should respect his opinion there and draw the line into thinking and wanting him to say something and the context in what it was actually said in. Remember there is a part 2, so look at the bigger picture. Seperate the PR from the guy who like games too part.

    So what is wrong with saying the things he said about launch? Right up front said the same things as a lot of people said here, this is a good approach in recognising this communities concerns and relating to them.

    There is no need to call people out "MrBloodworth" in the sense that your opinion is no open for discussion and he can't have a say - thats kinda silly and bully-ish. Some people only see desperation in a swing of obvious change in approach. Thats because they are still in the hurting process, first step in this is to know what the issues are and come forward with them, Erling is doing this back to the community in letting us know - "he heard, he is aware and he agrees". We now need to see the proof that is and FC are on the majority of gamers wavelengths.

    For me this is a good interview, it expands on previous offering and the fact he is "doing the right thing" by admitting to issues and telling us the things we wanted to hear for a while is a step in the right direction. Rebuffing peoples claims that he is fail don't hold much weight in my opinion in reference to this interview which is 1. Human and 2. meeting the people who call him fail more than halfway.

    
     

    i believe the problem is that a post that contains a postive message but turns into a flamewar will oftentimes be moderated individually instead of closing the whole post...but i very rarely see that on a negative post. either way, the mod editorials have to go. if your going to moderate than do so, but don't toss in one extra opinion before the thread is closed
