The Herald pointed me to a Mod that is supported by the game developers. You can find it at this siteL
http://war.curse.com/downloads/war-addons/details/spam-me-not.aspx
It is called spam me not, and what it does is filter incoming /tell messages for gold spam. It will then block that from being seen by you. Instead it just shows A message from thisperson was blocked.
There is an icon in the top right by the map that you can click, where it tells you what the message was. The program automatically sends a message to the devs with the person's name and the message they sent you.
This latest patch fixed some problems with the /ignore list and also added some options to reporting gold spammers.
The Devs take the gold problem seriously. Use the above mod and you'll be much happier about the gold situation, and you'll be doing your part by reporting every message in detail.
Best of luck!

But in 3-6 months, when most folks are on their mains, at 40, the war will rage across the T4 zones,a dn the guys enjoying the high population densities will be hating life as the end game will be overloaded, and those on the small population servers will have the smoother battles, better WAR.So I'm not worried about the T1-3 populations. Annoying at times, yes? But the back end will be that much better.
I think your wrong.
The thing about WAR is it is supposed to be fun from level 1, and for me so far it is. I don't want to wait until T4 to have fun, and the game developers have said end game starts at level 1.
On my server, population seems fine, scenarios are kicking. Not much in open rvr though, this is T1/T2.
And on any server, if open RvR is to crowded for you, just join a scenario.

Welcome to Realm vs Realm done correctly. It is not fun for most people to play a PvP game without challenge. It is also not fun for most people to fight against impossible odds. The solution right now is a Queue System.
An alternative System would be dynamic adjusting of stats based of local population so that despite numbers, both sides are equal, and that in itself is a huge can of worms (and not the route I would go).
There is a balance between your rights to play your class whenever you want, and everyone's right to enjoy their time in game and participate in a fair fight. Your position on the Queue system is very egocentric (not saying you are egocentric). Give a little consideration to the game as a whole and not just your place in it. If you want to pay $15/month for a game that lets you zerg the other side every day, or maybe you like being zergged every day. . . Then this may not be the place for you.
Quick and easy, and sorry for your experience.
A damaged item can be repaired into an item that your class can use. Thus you see a staff, another person sees a bow, someone else sees an axe.
It is common to NEED any item that is an upgrade for you, and you were well in your right to keep the item. It is a different mechanic than other games, and often all you need to do is explain how the damaged item works. Often if you just ask EVERYONE to say what they saw, everyone will quickly see that the same item means different things to everyone in the group (have even those that hit greed say what they saw).
Even though you were attacked, being the bigger person usually lets them accept their mistake and move on.
If not, then they are not the type of people you want to play with.

Instead of thinking that my fellow Order players are unhelpful asshats, I like to think that they are using the deafult chat setting and have simply missed my messages :)
What I do is remove monstersay and colour channel /1 in pink.
Maybe that could pass after asking 4-5 times but you think its normal to have no reply at all?
I may not of ask 100 times but it is over 50 times for sure.
Good Idea Darwa! I'll have to do that as I miss them all the time.
DAHBOO, it may be that no one knew the answer to your question. As you know, when you start crafting there really is nothing that pops up and tells you what you need to know. I found out about the talisman thing by reading the forums.
Now, there is a section in the help menu of the game that leads you to the game manual. It does have some information on crafting you may be interested in reading about. It wasn't in depth, but was better than the pop ups.
As for the community. . . I really have to agree that it is the chat that is flawed. Also when I'm in a warcamp, I'm generally quickly refreshing my RvR quests, grabbing my new skills/gear, selling loot, updating RvR points, all the while that 1 min counter is counting down to the next scenario. As a priest, I hate being late to a fight as just 1 more healer is enough to turn the tide.
