| Biography | Challenged at a young age, I knew I was destined to be a gamer, even if I accomplished little else. |
| Quote | Before WOW, there were MMORPG''s. After WOW there were online solo single RPG''s. |
Whether a prequel or simply a vast reworking of the same game and a relaunch, either would work for me.
I do think that with Arthur gone, the players step onto center stage, rather than being wannabe squires were Arthur alive and his great knights still assembled.
DAOC was a great game.

Blizzard have quite clearly stated it is not based on any of their previous IP's.
It would be interesting to see how the community reacts if they finally deliver the sandbox game that everyone has been waiting for. I wonder how the Blizzard haters would respond.
I, for one would be amazed. Simply amazed.
A sandbox world + Blizzard polish = Incredible
Too good to be true.
(And by sandbox, I don't necessarily mean true sandbox where there are player built towns, but rather a "world" and not this linear theme-park quest-driven crapfest that are WOW and WOW-clones.)
From many posts, it sounds like DAOC is nearly a ghost town. However, it was a great game in its day, and in this new era of worsening game designs, DAOC is looking pretty good to me right now.
As Warhammer falters and fails, do you think DAOC might have a resurgence?

When is the last time you played DAoC?
1. You can now respec the base stats at any time through the character selection screen.
2. You no longer choose a generic class when you start out, when you create your character you choose your only and final class.
Cool. Yep, it's been years since I played a lot. I do miss the game, however. DAOC was the first game (and arguably the last) to bring realistic weapon and armor graphics to the genre.
PVE, because in most cases a PVP'er can handle a PVE game (with some amount of grumbling), but a PVE'er has a much tougher time accepting the ganking in a PVP world.
