007 First Light finally tells the story of James Bond in a new video game coming in 2026.
After teasing the reveal earlier in the week with a banner, IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios today officially unveiled 007 First Light. The studio behind the award-winning developer and publisher behind the globally acclaimed HITMAN franchise revealed the first details about this new 00 title, reimagining the Origin story of a young James Bond.
Coming in 2026, 007 First Light will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on Steam and the Epic Game Store. The unique, standalone original, adventure puts players in control of a young James Bond. A promising yet rebellious Royal Navy air crewman who is recruited into MI6, Bond will eventually grow into the spy we know him to be. Following him across a dangerous world of espionage, you will venture into a range of territories. Face off against foes, and friends, and overcome obstacles with wit charm, or just brute force.
007 First Light is a third-person action-adventure game that blends IO Interactive’s signature stealth and action gameplay mechanics with the world of Bond and MI6. Meet familiar faces like M, Q, and Moneypenny, alongside new faces like Bond’s mentor John Greenway. Of course you’ll find a whole new cast of villains await too.
