2XKO Announced Closed Beta & Showed Off Vi Gameplay

Developer Riot Games is back with new information regarding 2XKO (previously Project L), the upcoming 2v2 team-based fighting game with League of Legends Champions. Closed Beta kicks off September 9, 2025, with a new playable champion: Vi, the Piltover Enforcer.

“To get the game running in this timeframe, Closed Beta will only be available for Windows PC. We’ll support cross-platform progression, which means if you start on PC you can switch to console once it’s available and keep your progress.”

Draft Your Duo. 2XKO features a slick graphics style with smooth 2v2-based gameplay that lets you play solo or with a friend. Once you’ve found a match, select one point and one assist champion to lead into battle.

Choose Your Fuse. Fuses shape your playstyle and win strategy. Pick one at the start of each match to customize your game plan and give your team an extra edge.

Fight to Win. Take on the enemy team in an explosive best-of-three showdown. Master a variety of champion abilities and unique team mechanics to come out on top.

Who’s in? So far the developer have revealed the participation of Darius, Ekko, Ahri, Yasuo, Illaoi, Braum, Jinx, and now Vi. With both Vi and Jinx around, no way will Caitlyn sit this one out, either!
