HoYoverse just revealed a new Honkai game trailer and the unnamed title could very well be the anticipated Honkai: Nexus Anima.
After getting us hyped with a teaser trail for the upcoming Fate x Star Rail collaboration, gacha giant HoYoverse caught us on the hop with a teaser for a brand new Honkai game. Clocking in at around 30 seconds of footage, it’s enough to get us speculating about what could be coming to the Honkai universe.
The new trail dropped during a livestream and looks to be something of an upbeat adventure with brand new game mechanics. The snippet we saw features characters Kiana, Blade. Both cut from different Honkai titles, they appear in a pleasant town square with minions or pets, that seem to suggest that the latest game from HoYoverse will be a Pokémon styled battler. While there’s a bunch of other clues likely hidden in the trail, we’re still looking for all the easter eggs. Take a look at these silhouettes and see if you can work out who to expect.
It’s likely that the video update could be linked to ta recent trademark registration for the name Honkai: Nexus Anima. If we’re on the right track, then I predict a very different type of title with characters porting over from other Honkai branded games. That includes the seldom mentioned GGZ, Honkai: Impact 3rd, and Honkai: Star Rail.
