Blast Zero has announced a Samurai Pizza Cats video game is in development, featuring the original voice cast!
Friday is pizza night around here and there’s only one anthropomorphic ninja cat superhero group that I’d trust to sling pepperoni. Dutch studio Blast Zero, the team behind Jitsu Squad, and publisher Red Dunes have announced Samurai Pizza Cats: A Blast From The Past! The new video game adventure will drop in time to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of this uniquely oddball anime adventure that graced TV screens during the 1990s.
The crime fighting trio of bionic super hero samurai pizza delivery cats will leap into action in an upcoming 2D Action RPG. Allowing players to take on the plans of a villain of the week, they’ll explore a faithfully recreated impression of Little Tokyo. Switch between heroes Speedy Cerviche, Polly Esther, and Guido Anchovy along the way. Utilize each of their powers and skill to thwart evil and send the Ninja-Crows packing.

Who Are The Furballs ?
For those of you who were too young to find out about this Saturday morning chaos, Samurai Pizza Cats is to anime what Power Rangers is to Super Sentai. Originally a show called Kyatto Ninden Teyandee in Japan, it was eventually ported into English by Saban Entertainment for western audiences. Rather than decide to sub or dub, the Saban team gave the show an oddball edit, reworking much of the original footage into an iconic mix of farce and anime action that’s little known but still loved today. You can still find the cats available to stream or just check out the new visuals for this upcoming Samurai Pizza Cats video game and Wishlist Blast From the Past on Steam now.
