After a successful launch in South Korea and Taiwan, NC has announced that AION 2 is coming to the West on PC later in 2026. Built using Unreal Engine 5, players will be able to choose from servers in North America, South America, Europe, and Japan. The ambitious MMO is a sequel to AION that originally released in 2009 with a mixture of PvP and PvE action, some of which takes place in the skies with players sporting massive wings to maneuver around the game world, which is, according to the developers, over “36 times larger than the original.”
AION 2 is set 200 years after the original title. Following the collapse of the Tower of Eternity, the Daevas, gradually losing their power, continue to wage war while struggling for survival under the oppression of Balaur. Now is the time to rebuild the world of the Daevas and shape its future.
The development team has promised more updates to come in May, including robust Q and A sessions with the team. The Steam page is available, and players can wishlist A2. In addition, people are invited to sign up for the game’s newsletter and join its official Discord channel.
