All On Board! Brings game night To VR

The Game Kitchen invites us around to play big name board games in VR, in All On Board!

VR developer The Game Kitchen just launched a board game night with a difference. VR board game platform All On Board! Is available now on Meta Quest and Steam VR, bringing friends together to play a range of popular tabletop adventures. Roll, the dice on Binding of Isaac, conquer a new world on Terraforming Mars, or simply escape The Hunger with friends.

Going a whole lot further than the likes of snakes and ladders, this new platform brings board game enthusiasts, friends, and family to the table from across the Internet to an immersive encounter. Surrounded by a realistic backdrop, games are set out and played in an intuitive manner to encourage memorable moments and intuitive interactions that bring players together. Making it even easier to bring the crew together, players can choose to enjoy mixed reality mode, dropping the virtual board on your real table and play a game with your friends’ avatars fully integrated in your living room. While the base platform will include the likes of Go, Chess, Checkers, and Ludo, players can already pick up the following add on titles too:

  • The Hunger: As a vampire, you want to hunt humans, but you must return home before sunrise. Nº players: 2-6. Overall playing time: 60 minutes.
  • The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls – Based in the acclaimed indie videogame, competitive card game about sacrifice, betrayal and hoarding. Nº players: 2-4. Overall playing time: 30-60 minutes.
  • Istanbul: Race your assistants through the market to acquire rubies. Nº players: 2-5. Overall playing time: 40-60 minutes.
  • Escape the Dark Castle: After years of wrongful incarceration, you embark on a desperate quest to escape. Nº players: 1-4. Overall playing time: 20-45 minutes.
  • Rallyman: GT: Push your car and your luck to the limits in a daring race. Nº players: 1-6. Overall playing time: 45-60 minutes.
