In 1932, Alexandre Valembois and his friend Antonio Álvarez explored the mysterious Amerzone region. Befriended by the natives, Alexandre witnessed a strange ritual involving a giant egg of the gamed white birds. Wanting to make a name for himself, he betrayed the natives’ trust and stole the egg. Alas, upon his returning to France, nobody believed Alexandre or his journals about the Amerzone.
Sixty years later, Amerzone remains largely unexplored and closed off to outsiders by its despotic leader, Antonio Álvarez. A young reporter pays a visit to Alexandre Valembois, an old man living alone in a lighthouse, regarding his adventures…
