Studio Wildcard has launched a premium creature pack for survival ARK: Survival Ascended. Coming under Fantastic Tames, the expansion brings new creatures to the game, some of which were chosen by the community. Moreover, the team also released free Araneo TLC Update, fixing some bugs and improving game experience.
The expansion is already available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
ARK: Survival Ascended Update Overview
Season 1 Creatures
- Burrowbuck (Available now): A swift, rabbit-like creature that creates underground burrows where players can build bases. Features agile jumping and ambushing abilities for guerrilla warfare.
- Cerberax (Q3 2026): A three-headed frontline beast for coordinated multi-rider combat. Each head delivers elemental attacks that chain into combo abilities.
- Enigmasaur (Q4 2026): A shape-shifting entity capable of mimicking nearby creatures and stealing their unique abilities for adaptive tactics through deception and disguise.
Araneo TLC Changes
- Movement: Full wall/ceiling climbing, strafe movement, vertical descent via web lines. Wild Araneo can spawn on walls/ceilings.
- Stat Increases: Health (150→200), Stamina (100→150), Weight (100→150), Food (900→1200), Melee Damage (+50% base).
- Ambusher Passive: After attaching/detaching from surface, next ability deals +50% damage and applies max Webbed stacks.
- Webbed Debuff: Slows movement, reduces attack speed, increases incoming damage. At max stacks: cannot sprint/jump. Overwhelmed targets spread Webbed to nearby enemies on death.
- Web Shot Rework: Increased range/accuracy. Toggle between damage and torpor-focused shots.
- Web Tether: Create traversable zip lines. Grapple small targets (pull toward Araneo) or large targets (pull Araneo toward them). Tether prey to anchored points (pull strength scales with Weight).
- Web Descent: While on ceilings, descend on web line, attack, fire shots, or drop onto prey.
- Silk Harvesting: Generate Silk from creatures slain while Webbed (higher stacks = higher yield).
- Other: Turret Mode support, knock-out taming, updated wild AI.
