Ludogram and Twin Sails Interactive have presented a first trailer for the upcoming rogue-lite game Ascenders: Beyond the Peak. The game features turn based exploration, set in the mountains. However, there is a twist – the world is inspired by H.P. Lovecraf, and the team of alpinists can’t even imagine what horrors wait them ahead.
The gameplay of Ascenders: Beyond the Peak offers a rogue-lite elements, death of one expedition brings advantages to the next. The players will have to make tough choices, sacrificing people for survival of the majority of let the entire squad die. Units have different classes and abilities, which affect strategy of the ascension. Between the mission the players can build the base and upgrade the equipment and abilities.

- Turn-Based Climbing Roguelite: Lead a team of alpinists through cursed peaks, blending exploration, rope mechanics, and expedition management.
- Hostile Terrain: Ice walls, avalanches, toxic vegetation, and mutated enemies.
- Rope System: Physical connections enable securing, anchoring, and rescuing teammates. Positioning is critical.
- Nine Classes: Highlander, Scout, Sapper, and more. Class synergies determine survival.
- Permadeath and Trauma: Death is permanent. Survivors carry lasting trauma. The roster and world change after each failure.
- HQ Management: Unlock rooms, technologies, and upgrades between expeditions. Heal, craft, and strengthen bonds at base camp.
- Artifacts and Factions: Trade recovered artifacts with rival factions to upgrade HQ and reshape future threats.
- Escalating Danger: The mountain learns from player strategies and grows more hostile over time.
