The developers from Ubisoft are back with more news for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This time the team shared the first roadmap of updates for the title for 2022.
On February 22nd, the game will receive Title Update 1.5.0, followed by the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla free weekend running between February 24 and February 28. Update 1.5.0 introduces a variety of Stealth fixes, adds a new Saga Difficulty Mode and more.
Come March 10th, players will be able to undertake a perilous journey alongside Odin with the release of the latest DLC Dawn of Ragnarök, the events of which are set after those of the Asgard and Jotunheim arcs found in the main campaign. In Ravensthorpe, Eivor continues getting visions about Odin. Valka, the Raven Clan’s seer, encourages the Viking to explore the visions and see what can be learned from them. This is how you find yourself in Svartalfheim, the realm of the dwarves, as Odin attempts to save their son Baldr.
Under occupation from the fiery realm of Muspelheim (as well as icy Jotunheim), Svartalfheim has become a hostile, lava-filled landscape patrolled by flame-wielding enemies, some of whom can do things like revive their fallen comrades. To survive, Odin will need to find hidden Shelters across the world, and seek help from the dwarves who’ve taken refuge in them.
Don’t forget about the Forgotten Myths comic book that will serve as the prequel to the upcoming expansion!
