It’s official, Baldur’s Gate 3 is now two years old! To celebrate the occasion, developer Larian Studios shared some fun statistics and infographics related to Tavs’ and Dark Urges’ adventures and misadventures.
“It feels like only yesterday we were streaming our launch-day Panel From Hell from a cathedral in Ghent and earning a TikTok ban in the process for our druidic love crimes. But time flies. Two years later, Baldur’s Gate 3 has grown into something far beyond what we could have ever imagined back then – it’s become a shared universe shaped just as much by your imaginations as ours. You’ve embraced the characters, rewritten the rules, and made the world your own – and it’s been a joy to watch.”

- Since the introduction in September 2024, players have uploaded over 8.5k mods and made the astonishing 265 million mod downloads! To match the community’s energy, the team is working hard on expanding the official toolkit.
- Only 1.82% of all players managed to earn 100 gold from playing music, and only 2.07% defeated 20 opponents while drunk. Seems like we’re lucking some bar fights in Phaerun!
- 2.3% multiclassed their way through every class in a single playthrough without bothering Withers. Now that’s dedication!
- 3.87% showed off their fancy footwork by defeating Gortash without activating any traps. The Safety Dance is holding strong!
- 1.1 million brave souls completed the game in Tactician Mode. Half a million players thought it would be fun to challenge the Honour Mode, that’s almost 315k more traumatised souls compared to the last year!
- 4,647 mad lads and lasses managed to beat the Honour Mode with a Level 1 character.
Moving onto the characters, the three most popular characters to respecc are: Shadowheart (4.9kk), Wyll (1.4kk), and Gale (685k). Is it all because Shadowheart keeps missing everything? Let that remain a mystery!
