Mattel Inc. and Outright Games have announced that Barbie Horse Trails is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Players can take to the trails with Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts and Barbie “Malibu” Roberts as they become Junior Park Rangers-in-training. Riding their horse, Lucky, they travel across the open world of Canterbury Trails Park to help restore it and uncover a variety of mysteries.
Setting the stage for gameplay, the dev team released a new trailer allowing viewers a peek into locations, characters, and much more.
Barbie Horse Trails features
- Join the Junior Rangers: Team up with Head Ranger Annalise, Archaeologist Dr. Potts, and Ken’s aunt, Lady Carson, to solve mysteries, restore park areas, and discover ancient artifacts.
- Find Your Adventure: Explore peaceful lakesides, wildflower meadows, rugged mountain trails and lush forests in a vast open world. Mini-games and races challenge players’ riding skills, while dynamic quests invite them to discover the park’s wildlife, restore natural spaces, and uncover the mystery of the legendary horse.
- Reconnect with Familiar Faces: Reunite with beloved characters like Ken, Teresa, Nikki, and Daisy, who offer guidance and join in on activities throughout the park.
- Capture the Magic: Use the in-world camera to capture moments and document findings in a journal to help guide players on their quests.
- Horse Care: Build a bond with Lucky by cleaning, grooming, pampering, and feeding them.
- Express Your Style: Find collectible chests to customize outfits, gear, and colorful accessories like bridles, saddles, braids, and ribbons.
