A bunch of ex-Blizzard developers are about to unleash a brand new RTS on us all. Uncapped Games, led by David Kim and Jason Hughes, has just announced that the beta test for upcoming RTS Battle Aces will begin on 25th June. Due to take players on a journey into the darkest corners of space in a far-flung future, this experience plunges players into a furious battle, full of powerful units, customizable decks, and new strategies.
This colorful top-down take on the real time genre unlocks beta testing on 25 June. Players can sign up over on the official Steam Store page to access the beta test. Anybody strapping in will get to experience 45 unique units, all with their own distinct abilities, strengths, and roles. Across 2v2 and 1v1 online encounters, commanders will have a maximum of 10 minutes to customize Unit Decks and attack.
Players can handpick their favorite units to create a tailored Unit Deck that suits their unique playstyle. This customization adds a layer of strategic depth, as you must carefully balance your offensive and defensive capabilities, resource management, and unit synergy. Whether you are devising a swift rush or a more progressive approach to securing victory, it’s up to you how to build the battle.
