Beastro — Casual Roguelite Demo Live

Developers from the Timberline Studio have presented a playable demo of the casual roguelite RPG Beastro. The announcement happened during the Day of the Devs event, along with the new trailer presentation. The players can take a first look at what is to come, experiencing the first day in the beautiful world full of cute creatures. The developers expect players’ feedback, which can become a secret ingredient for the game to improve.

Beastro is a different take on a fantasy adventure. Players are not here to be heroes who wield the sword, but a chief who mastered the spoon and knife. The world’s survival starts with a perfect meal, and someone should cook it. The players take the role of Panko, a young chief whose master has gone missing. Panko has to take over the restaurant and prepare meals for Caretakers, who fight the darkness stirring all around the world.

Key Game Features

  • Farm-to-Table Management: Crop cultivation and foraging.
  • Cooking: Dishes cooking through mini-games and recipe development.
  • Customization: Restaurant decoration.
  • Adventurers’ Support: Each Caretaker has their own preferences. Different meals boost their skills before they battle monsters.
  • Deck-Building Combat: Meals become cards for turn-based, trick-taking-inspired battles where players match, neutralize, or enhance “flavor magic.”
  • Ingredient Strategy: Special ingredient cards with different effects.
  • Progression Cycle: A fantasy setting where cooking, feeding adventurers, and their monster-slaying adventures are represented through puppet-theater sequences, unlocking rare ingredients.

Beastro launches on PC (Steam) in Spring 2026. The game will also come to Xbox Series consoles.
