Metacorp / Vaporware and Movie Games S.A. have announced the release of the full version of Beyond Sunset. For this occasion the developers presented a new ambient trailer, demonstration game locations and the atmosphere of the world. The game leaves Early Access on September 12.
Beyond Sunset is a story driven first-person shooter, set in the cyberpunk world. The players take a role of Lucy, an extremely skilled samurai searching for her past. As her skills are being noticed, she receives an offer to become a street samurai in exchange for her memories. On her way to the truth, Lucy has to fight yakuza, zombies and robots scattered across interactive levels. Aside from the dynamic fight and unique aesthetics, the game is 100% modable and players can create their own levels, weapons and more.
The full version of the game will bring the unexpected twist in Lucy’s story and new locations. Moreover, the lore of the world will receive an expansion, as well as the backstory of the main heroine. Besides the narrative changes and new content, the full version will address all known issues and improve the game experience.
Beyond Sunset has been in Early Access since November 2023 and received many positive reviews from the players. Moreover, Demo version of the game is also available on the Steam for Windows and macOS.
