MercurySteam and 505 Games celebrate the Steam release of the action adventure Blades of Fire. The game received v2.0 update along with new features and fixes. The changes include new achievements, Steam Deck support, the Adventurer Pack, the Artbook, and the original soundtrack by Óscar Araujo. Moreover, the Demo version is available for everyone to try the game out before purchase.
Blades of Fire is a dark fantasy adventure, which follows the story of Aran de Lira. He is the last warrior who can forging true steel in a world where metal turns to stone. Exploring the world he searches for new materials, forges new weapons and tests them in battle. The game features dynamic combat system, where victory demands strategy planing and patience.
Version 2.0 Overview
- New Game Plus: Maintain most progression and stats. Enemies scale to player health. 27 exclusive forge statues unlock new weapon parts.
- Titanium Difficulty: New challenge level. Enemies have enhanced health, armor, and 20% increased damage. Bosses rebalanced with stricter timing-based mechanics.
- Anvil Trials: Time-limited arena battles against bosses from the main story. Bosses feature new mechanics. Rewards are available.
- Arcana: Collect medals in Anvil Trials and exchange them with Adso for ancient spells that grant passive buffs to weapons.
- Transmutation: Convert discovered materials into any other desired material directly at the forge.
- Photo Mode: Capture scenery and key moments.
- New Achievements: Additional achievements added.
- Control Remapping: Fully customizable mouse and keyboard bindings.
- Pet the Ox: Players can now interact with the ox.
