Blind Descent Kicked Off the First Playtest on Steam

Blind Descent Kicked Off the First Playtest

Coming from META Publishing and developer Pokuch, Blind Descent is a Scavengers Reign-inspired sci-fi survival adventure. After unveiling the new traile during Summer Game Fest, the team has launched the first open playstest for Windows PC via Steam.

“Check your Steam libraries to see if you already have access and can start downloading the game right away. If you haven’t registered yet, go to the game’s Steam page and click the “Request access” button to join!”

To bring players up to speed, the developers also created an FAQ that goes over the basics:

  • The playtest is approximately 2 to 5 hours, depending on your playstyle and how deeply you explore.
  • Currently, the game is available in English, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Turkish.
  • Participants can stream and/or create content about the playtest.
  • The team urges players to join Discord to report bugs (alternatively done through Steam Community) and share feedback.
  • Playtest content won’t be carrying over to the full release.

About Blind Descent:

A survival and exploration mission deep beneath the Martian surface. A team of up to four pioneers has been sent to uncover the fate of a missing crew within a vast, uncharted underground world. What was supposed to be a routine expedition has become a fight for human survival.

As exploration begins, the subterranean world reveals itself as a living, reactive ecosystem. It is no longer just a mission, it’s a transformation, a challenge to integrate and thrive in a world where survival hinges on your ability to learn, adapt, and symbiotize.
