Brutal Legend
The game was originally released in 2009 by Double Fine Productions and Tim Schafer. It follows a main character named Eddie Riggs, heavily inspired by Jack Black. He’s a “roadie” who is magically transported to a fantasy realm in trouble. His weapon? A Flying V guitar, a pair of golden pipes and the will to become the savior of the world.

Here are some of the game features:
- Story – it’s a wild world out there for Eddie and one that’s filled with “chrome, leather, rocker babes, epic music, fire-breathing / stud-wearing beasts and mountains of guitar amps”.
- Combat – a mix of “classic action slasher and RTS mechanics” that is hardcore and accessible for the casual at the same time.
- Open World – walk, fly, drive anywhere you want. The world is “inspired by some of the most iconic and hilariously rad metal album covers ever created”.
- 70s, 80s and 90s heavy metal soundtrack
- 4v4 skirmish multiplayer
