Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Now Includes Bubble Bobble 1986

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is taking things all the way back with a retro update for the upcoming game. Players ready to get their dinosaur on will now be able to experience the original 1986 Bubble Bobble as part of the package.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is the latest title to feature in the cute bubble bursting puzzle series from Taito. Due to explode onto Nintendo Switch consoles soon, Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is a new 4 player version f the classic puzzle adventure. Players jumping into the new title won’t find the same massive battle royale modes present in Tetris 99. Instead, up to 4 people can cooperate to bust out all the bubbles on their way to victory. The game continues to add new twists and depth to the gameplay that’s served the franchise so well. Bubs and Bobs playing together can collect special skills by grabbing letter bubbles that form the word “extend”.

Back To Basics

The addition of the original means players who pick up the new game will definitely see the return of the two siblings Bub and Bob, as well as 100 colorful levels of bubble shooting action. The basic gameplay hasn’t changed all that much in the intervening years but it seems this might be a way to get a retro fix without the always online Nintendo subscription service.
