Bungie Opens Preorders for Marathon Collector’s Edition Ahead of March 5 Launch

Bungie has officially opened preorders for the Marathon Collector’s Edition as excitement continues to build around its upcoming sci-fi extraction shooter. The premium edition joins the Standard and Deluxe versions of Marathon ahead of its March 5, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The Marathon Collector’s Edition is designed as a showcase piece for fans and collectors, with preorder pricing set at $229.99 when purchased with a game code, or $170 for the physical bundle without the game. It is available exclusively through the Bungie Store and PlayStation Direct, with limited quantities expected.

At the heart of the Collector’s Edition is a 1/6-scale Thief Runner Shell statue inspired by the game’s lore, complete with integrated LED lighting. The set also includes a collectible WEAVEworm miniature, a runner-themed patch, a set of artistic postcards, and premium hexagon packaging that reflects Marathon’s aesthetic. Digital bonuses tied to the edition include exclusive in-game cosmetics like themed emblems and backgrounds.

While the physical edition does not include a traditional disc or cartridge, buyers receive a digital game code for immediate use on their chosen platform. Preordering any version of Marathon also unlocks cosmetic bonuses in both Marathon itself and Destiny 2 for linked Bungie.net accounts, continuing Bungie’s tradition of cross-title rewards.

With its premium collectibles and carefully crafted presentation, the Marathon Collector’s Edition aims to appeal to both lore enthusiasts and dedicated fans of Bungie’s work. Preorders are live now, and interested players can secure their copy through the Bungie Store or directly via PlayStation’s online storefront.

Marathon is currently scheduled to launch on March 5, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. With preorders now live, the Collector’s Edition marks one of the most substantial public steps yet toward the game’s release, signaling that the studio is ready to bring its long-dormant universe back into the spotlight.
