Capes Flies Onto PC and Consoles in 2023

Capes is about to bring its own brand of turn based crimefighting antics to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S this year.

Forget what Edna said. Capes are cool, and publisher Daedalic Entertainment has announced that comic book adventure Capes is set to turn the page on a new chapter when it launches later this year. For anybody who missed the origin story, Capes is a tactical, turn-based game of heroic deeds and costumed crusaders. Set 20 years after the supervillains won, this is a chance to fight back and retake the streets.

Players picking up capes will pick from a group of remarkable people, to see if they could become something more than what’s come before. See if they can combine talents and tactics to overcome the battles that await. Taking on crimes across a series of dark and gritty city streets, players will be able to take on the central campaigns and patrol assignments. Up to 4 heroes can take on a range of core missions or side quests. Each individual plays in a slightly different way with a range of powers that can be enhanced, upgraded, and generally leveled up using skill points.

If this sounds like the next best thing to City of heroes coming back online or have simply finished up with Midnight Suns then you can try out Capes when it drops a demo during Steam Next Fest. Between 6-13 February, we can all play superhero for free. After that, find your mask and prepare to be incredible when Capes lands across PC and Console this year.
