Published by Kingsglory and developed by Pawprint Studio, Aniimo is a new free-to-play, next-gen creature-catching open-world ARPG. The game is slated to arrive on console, PC, and mobile in 2026, but for now you can check out the cute trailer above, introducing a whole new world of adventures.
The developers invite players to register for the closed beta and be among the first to explore Idyll, the realm where countless Aniimo thrive in diverse, vibrant biomes. The team also noted that the in-game universe is a living story that responds to players. Additionally, you can train and chill with your Aniimo to unlock their stories and take your adventure to the next level.
Get ready to explore uncharted landscapes and mysterious dungeons, battle in real-time PvE and PvP combat, solve ancient puzzles, and master a truly dynamic gameplay experience.
So far, developers have revealed five creatures and their abilities:
- Emberpup (Fire) – This peppy little fireball is always hot on the heels of its buddy, Flameruff. With a fluffy coat of coal-fur speckled with smoldering embers, Emberpup grows up in a burst of flames when these tiny sparks ignite!
- Celestis (Dark) – his gluttonous glider soars through forest canopies, its luminous head stars often mistaken for shooting stars. Some have witnessed these stars fall, only to see Celestis promptly scoop them up for a snack.
- Budclaw (Earth, Grass) – This monogamous Aniimo is believed to have only one mate throughout its life, often seen moving in pairs. The state of the flower buds on its shell reflects its level of happiness.
- Otti (Water) – This bashful burrower is always digging up tokens of affection, but its shyness often leads to love-struck stumbles. Watch for its signature move: rubbing its cheeks with tiny paws when it’s feeling extra shy.
- Nimbi (Wind) – This cloud-like creature loves to drift with the breeze over sunny meadows. Its pristine white wool darkens to the color of storm clouds when soaked, making it a natural harbinger of impending rain.
