Developer Blizzard Entertainment took a look back at 2025 and shared the report in numbers in the form of the Yearbook available on the official site. The team also revealed that they’re hyped up for 2026, with major releases with countless surprises in store planned. Let’s check out Blizzard by the numbers, title by title!
World of Warcraft:
- Over 1.2 billion bosses pulled in retail – if each had lasted for exactly 60 seconds, that means heroes of Azeroth spent over 2,000 years locked in deadly boss fights! The deadliest of them all, none other than Dimensius, the final encounter of Manaforge: Omega.
- Nearly 2 million deaths in Classic Hardcore
- Over 115 million Sha have been purged from Pandaria Classic
Hearthstone:
- Nearly 250,000 players hit Legend rank in Standard this year
- Top 5 most-played Classes in Ranked Standard: Death Knight, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Warrior
- Over 9.95 Billion rounds of Battlegrounds played – an equivalent of 315 rounds every second over the course of a year
Overwatch 2:
- Most showcased skin: Ancient Caller Moira, played over 92 million times
- Most chosen minor perk: Biotic Grenade Bounce, selected over 78 million times
- Total damage done: over 29 trillion, the equivalent of Reinhardt swinging his hammer every second, non-stop, for over 10,000 years to meet this damage output!
Diablo IV:
- Over 1.2 trillion monsters slain
- Over 166 million Treasure Goblins slain
- Over 30 million Mythics acquired
- Total hours played exceed 3.5 billion
