Square Enix has twitterpated its Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans by releasing the opening cinematic for the highly anticipated game. There’s no doubt that the 5+ minute long movie will leave fans breathless.
There is a lot of new footage in the video including several gorgeous shots of Midgar. Viewers will also see Red XIII, Professor Hojo, a Chocobo Chick, as well as get a peek at Tifa’s abilities, Mercenary Quests, the Battle Report system, Cactuar summons, the Mako Reactor, and the Corkscrew Tunnel. Add in a dash of Aerith and Cloud and you have a video sure to make even the most stoic fan’s heart beat faster.
The planet’s very life force is drained as Mako energy by the shadowy Shinra Electric Power Company. In the city of Midgar, a flower merchant gazes upward as a train pulls into a station… FF7 Remake is a reimagining of the iconic original with unforgettable characters, a mind-blowing story, and epic battles. The story of this first, standalone game in the FF7 Remake project covers up to the party’s escape from Midgar and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the original FF7.
FF7 Remake is due out for PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020 and for other platforms in April 2021.
