Chronages — Check Out Lone Composer Creation

Solo indie developer Andrei Bely has unveiled his RTS project Chronages, which he has been developing for over six years. Originally a composer, he followed his dream and created a game by his own rules. The announcement came along with the first gameplay video, which also features author’s comment on the development process.

Chronages is a real-time strategy with 4X management elements, large-scale army battles, and a dynamic evolution system. Players start with a primitive tribe in the Stone Age and lead it through the centuries. At the crossroads of eras, they have to choose whether the world will rush toward a technological future or sink into primal fantasy magic.

Key Game Features

  • Territory Control: Players conquer and develop provinces and cities on a single hexagonal map, expanding sphere of influence.
  • Exploration: Players investigate points of interest in uncharted lands. They have to send armies on reconnaissance to find artifacts and develop Heroes.
  • Construction and Infrastructure: Unique structures for each era. While growing, cities should adapt to economic challenges.
  • Population Management: NPC have key professions – Workers (resources), Scientists (technology), Tacticians (army).
  • Seamless World: No loading screens for battles. Command army formations and lead tactical battles in real time directly on the main map.
  • Regiment and Hero Management: Disciplined military squads and Heroes, not individual units.

Chronages will likely be available exclusively for PC, with Steam page already available.
