Clear River Games Development and Square Enix have announced a re-release of the JRPG Terranigma. Originally launched back in 1995, the game takes a place among the classic game of the genre. With a tendency for the remakes and remasters in the industry, and now Terranigma receives one too.
Moreover, the original staff returns for the project, including Manga artist Kamui Fujiwara. Handling character and world design for the original, he returns to create new key art and in-game designs, and will serve as a creative consultant. The original director and writer Tomoyoshi Miyazaki and writer Reiko Takebayashi also return for the project.
Terranigma is an JRPG classic originally developed by Quintet. The Earth is a hollow sphere with two sides: an external Lightside and an internal Darkside. Players take a role of Ark, a mischievous boy who lives unaware of the world beyond. When he opens a forbidden door, he sets in motion events that will change the world. Thus begins his journey to revive the Earth.

The new edition promises to revive the original experience, bringing it PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam, GOG).
