Since the first day after the launch, Code Vein 2 endures the wave of players’ criticism. Poor optimization, bugs and dated graphics are but an iceberg tip of game problems. The voices became so loud, that Bandai Namco has finally broken its silence. The developers team has presented an entire roadmap for the upcoming game improvements. They acknowledge the existing issues with game balance and performance, promising to bring changes in the next few months.
The series of patches for Code Vein 2 will be launched between late February and March 2026. The team focuses on solving the performance issues and problems from players’ feedback.
Announced Changes
Performance and Stability:
- Reduce processing load during combat to improve frame rates.
- Adjust processing load during field exploration to reduce stuttering and lag.
- Perform general processing load adjustments to reduce temporary frame rate drops.
- Improve frame rates when using “Prioritize Action” mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Combat and Gameplay:
- Improve responsiveness of player Evasion and Guarding. Adjust Evasion to be more effective.
- Adjust the feel) of certain player attack actions.
- Implement other balance adjustments, including changes to enemy behavior.
Customization:
- Add new cosmetic options, such as bangs for hairstyles.
Along with the listed changes, the team promises various other adjustments and fixes. The key focus remains frame rate improvement and general frame rate drop issues.
