Bandai Namco Entertainment has presented a new developer message for CODE VEIN II. Director Hiroshi Yoshimura and Producer Keita Iizuka reveal more about the Mask of Idris DLC and free update Version 2.0. The video features new gameplay, details on the story, characters, weapons, and challenges ahead.

The expansion takes players into the Forsaken World, a realm formed from histories erased by alterations to the past and consumed by the expanding Temporal Rift. Players will encounter Liv Voda, Valentin’s sister and the original guardian of the Temporal Rift. She views the protagonist as an outsider interfering in a world where they don’t belong. A different Lou also awaits, carrying a past and tragedy of her own that the story will reveal as it unfolds.

CODE VEIN II: Mask of Idris launches on September 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). The expansion is available now for purchase and is included in the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.
