Limbic Entertainment and Hooded Horse have announced city builder Corsair Cove. Known for Tropico 6 and Might & Magic Heroes VII, the developers are now bringing pirate aesthetics to the genre. The announcement came alongside a new trailer showcasing the game’s core concept and gameplay elements. The game is promised to launch this year, though no further details are known yet.
Corsair Cove take players to the world of treasures and pirates. The main goal of the game is to keep the art of piracy alive while the entire world hunts the sea wolves down. Players can build their own pirate heaven, raise a powerful fleet and explore the seas.
However, the main gameplay isn’t a daring heist and action, but management. Players have to organize production, build infrastructure and turn the island into a self-sustained city. Moreover, the crew mood is a key parameter that can defy the entire game. Players have to provide them with rare resources and best food, if they want to succeed.
