The developers from Pearl Abyss are working hard on improving the players’ experience in the open-world RPG Crimson Desert. Patches come almost daily, bringing more changes and fixes each time. The recent game version received number 1.01.00, which added new content, including five new mounts. It also reduced the loading time for fast travel and improved in game controls. However, within the 24h the game was updated to version 1.01.01, which introduced more hotfixes for known bugs and issues.

Content Additions
- Mounts: Five new mounts obtainable after completing specific conditions.
- Material Chests: Added throughout Pywel.
- Refinement Tokens: Allows equipment tempering up to Stage 4 without additional materials. Obtained from main and faction quests.
- “Make Now” Function: Immediate cooking/crafting from recipe selection without ingredient selection.
- “Store All Selected Items”: Move all selected items to private storage (Shift+RMB / □ / X).
- Private Storage: Howling Hill Camp chest moved to Kliff’s tent.
- Wholesale Grocers: Added to regional farms; adjusted Knowledge entry quantities.
- Shop Knowledge: All shop items can now be learned at once (3-second learning time).

Controls and Combat
- Movement: Sprint now maintained with tap or hold; speed no longer decreases without continuous input. Full sprint requires periodic input.
- Flight: Reduced stamina consumption; no pause before movement; equipment usable while flying.
- Aerial Stab: Animation improved; stamina cost increases with consecutive use; fixed activation issues.
- Aerial Maneuver & Swing: Stamina requirements reduced.
- Interaction Range: Increased for NPC convenience.
- Keyboard/Mouse: Fixed skill interruption issues; double-click to sell; inventory now uses left-click select, right-click/double-click use.
- Combat: Weak point indicators added; bosses no longer attack immediately after player revival.
- Stamina: Reduced consumption for sprint and Crow Wings.
- Axiom Force: “Precise Control” added (hold Q/mouse back button + mouse movement).
Quests
- Fixed progression issues in “New Journey,” “Missing Companion,” and “Dance with the Devil”.
- Improved liberation sequence transitions.
- Added guide prompts where previously lacking.
UI Improvements
- Minimap fixed north option.
- Skills menu shows next-level stats increases.

Performance and Stability
- Reduced loading times for Abyss Traces and respawning.
- Fixed crashes and optimization issues across PC, console, and Mac.
- Fixed frame drops during Crowcaller battle.
Localization and Other Fixes
- Fixed localization errors across all languages.
- Added sound effects for certain animals eating meat.
- Multiple bug fixes: herding cows, crime triggers, housing mode, diving, Energy Drain gear, Constellation Helm, gliding speed, bow aiming, Blinding Flash Finisher, UI overlaps, and more.
- Fixed an issue where the “Use” button for the five new mount talismans appeared on Damiane and Oongka.
- Fixed an issue where Blackstar remained flying in place after death instead of disappearing.
- Fixed an issue where the A.T.A.G. was not destroyed when its Health reached zero.
- Fixed an issue where the tempering target selection UI became unavailable under certain conditions.
- Fixed an issue where holding the follow button during horseback missions caused abnormal horse movement.
- Fixed an issue where Sprint could not be used while riding the White Bear.
- Fixed an issue where controls became unavailable while using “Examine” with the Constellation Helm.
- Fixed an issue where equipment refinement was not possible for Damiane and Oongka.
