Cyberpunk 2077 Is At Least A Few Years Away & Possible Multiplayer Mode

According to Igromania, the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 decided not to share the demo from E3 2018 due to the game being in the early stage of development. Adam Kiciński states that at this point the game is not even in the alpha, and the fragment shown to the press during the E3 conference is the most polished part of the project. There is still a lot of work for the team to do on the general quality of the game.

Additionally, during an interview with Youtuber YongYea, the creator of the original tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020 Mike Pondsmith mentioned that he has waited for such a high-quality adaptation for over 30 years, and gamers “can wait a few more years”. Fortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 is still aimed at the current gen consoles and PC.

Lastly, CD Projekt Red’s website has been updated with a trio of particularly interesting job postings. The company is looking for a network programmer and a senior technology programmer with previous experience in multiplayer shooters. While not saying outright that it means a multiplayer mode for CP2077, one can hope!
