Gameloft and Disney have announced that the free “Frills & Chills” update for Disney Dreamlight Valley will launch on May 1, 2024. The update will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and Apple Arcade. Players with the paid Expansion Pass for A Rift In Time will also find The Spark of Imagination – Act II available that same day.
What’s inside Frills & Chills?
Daisy Duck will finally make her debut in DDV with the update. Players can befriend her and head out on her personal quest. Successfully completing it will reward them with their own Boutique where they can sell custom designs made with Touch of Magic. In addition, players can unlock new items to customize and invite their friends to browse their wares. Of course, players can also visit their friends’ Boutiques as well.
Multiplayer is receiving some love from the dev team. Players will notice several improvements, including the ability to take selfies with friends and work cooperatively in fishing, gardening, mining, cooking, and crafting.
This season’s Star Path and Premium Shop will be updated with some new additions. Star Path will showcase Disney Parks with such cool attractions as the Alien Swirling Saucers and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Add in some new clothing and Dream Styles for Daisy and Minnie completes the new items. The Premium Shop will also feature Disney Parks attractions and special clothing.
A Rift in Time expansion owners will find Act II, The Spark of Imagination that allows them to learn more about Eternity Isle. But most excitingly, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is coming into the game! “Players will come face-to-face with this classic Disney character and take part in an expansive quest line alongside EVE, Rapunzel, and Gaston.” That means an upgraded Royal Hourglass is imminent!
