Darkest Dungeon II Secrets of the Coven Free update Arrives on Switch and Xbox

Darkest Dungeon II Secrets of the Coven adds a new Kingdoms quest and enemy faction to Nintendo and Microsoft platforms today.

Darkest Dungeon II will bring the Secrets of the Coven update to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox today, allowing players to quest and uncover and eradicate the mysterious Coven before their subversive influence culminates in the downfall of their Kingdom. Take on a new Kingdoms quest, enemy faction, new mechanics & items, as well as a number of community-requested Kingdoms features today.

Check out the new inn storage, item selling, and more! Quest into the newest adventure and experience a game mode that made it onto Steam for PC and Mac in April as well as on PlayStation earlier this month. Kingdoms is a free game mode that introduces a fresh, reimagined structure alongside three adventure modules—starting with Hunger of the Beast Clan and now followed by Secrets of the Coven. In comparison to the original Confessions mode, the Kingdoms asks players to defend the real and a series of inns against powerful new enemyt factions. Now you’ve had time to take down the Beastmen, it’s time to do the same with the Coven.

While Darkest Dungeon II includes a new update, there’s still plenty more to come. For the rest of us, the third Kingdoms update is in the works for later this year, and the Steadfast Steward’s Update is also due to drop. This is still in early development, so there’s tons of time to collaborate with the developer, Red Hook, on creating an update focused on quality of life improvements.
