Death Stranding Isolations — Kojima Conquers Anime World

During the Disney+ Originals presentation in Hong Kong, Kojima Productions and E&H Studios announced the animated series Death Stranding: Isolations. However, the announcement featured only a cover image, with a full trailer to follow. They also noted that the current title is the working one and might change in the near future.

The creative team for Death Stranding: Isolations includes Hideo Kojima as executive producer, with Takayuki Sano (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Jujutsu Kaisen 0) directing and Ilya Kuvshinov (Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045, The Wonderland) handling character design.

Kojima Productions and E&H Studios about the synopsis:

Once, there was an explosion…

Lonesome souls of the dead manifest in the physical world, reaching out in search of the living. However, the connection they create triggers a massive explosion that eradicates anything of this world—a phenomenon referred to as the Death Stranding. These events wipe out nations as well as civilization itself. People who remain are now isolated, withdrawn, and without connections. As humanity stands at the brink, a legendary porter set out to transport both cargo and wishes of its senders, reconnecting people in the hope that they might still be saved.

The series comes in 2027 exclusively at Disney+. However, there are more Death Stranding projects in parallel development. One of them is a cartoon Death Stranding: Mosquito from ABC Animation Studio, and another is a live-action film adaptation from A24.
