Destiny 2: Echoes Act 2 begins today, taking the fight further into Nessus and adding tons of new content.
For players who are prepared and looking to leap into Echoes Act 2, today is the day and a recent trailer gives us all a good idea of what is coming. Along with waves of new enemies coming to prevent our path, we’re likely to find out more about the Conductor and their plan. Expect to meet this adversary face to face, or at least for a monolog or two, before leaping off into new Battleground activities.
Three new Battlegrounds are coming, with a tease in the aforementioned trailer. The action loads up new loot too. A new set of Artifacts arrives in-game as part of the content. If you defeat the upcoming minions and a big boss in good time then rewards for continued success include a heavy pulse rifle and a new sidearm that could prove potentially useful in the third act of the new story.
The Echoes updates aren’t a traditional expansion, instead, this series of story chapters feel closer to the iterative update models we’ve seen in Warframe and Guild Wars 2. Kicking off after the seminal closure of the ten-year Light and Darkness Saga, Echoes is a set of self-contained stories. The latest instalment is an opportunity for developer Bungie to share new perspectives and characters in a galaxy following the climactic battle with the Witness. You can find out more about these new adventures on the Bungie dev blog or head over to the official Destiny 2 website to chase the Conductor today.
