Diablo IV: The Season of Slaughter arrives March 11 at 10 a.m. PST, granting you the power to transform into The Butcher, a force only partially under your control. Feed your hunger with endless Kill Streaks and rampage through activities. Embrace your inner demons, claim Unique and Bloodied items, try out the Paladin for free up to level 25 without the Lord of Hatred pre-purchase, and more.
For the first time in Diablo history, assume the form of the Butcher. Succumb to your dark urges, feed your endless appetite for slaughter and earn Seasonal currency with a hotbar full of Butcher-fied skills. Cleave through monsters, charge into the fray, unleash a hail of hook to drag fresh meat to its bloody end.
The update brings changes to the Killstreak system to feed into players’ bloodthirsty carnage. The seasonal reputation and experience gained is based on the total number of monsters slain during the Killstreak, with a bonus based on the Killstreak Tier reached.

Diablo IV – Lord of Hatred expansion arrives on April 28, 2026, with the new Warlock class. Pre-purchasing the expansion also gives you access to the Paladin.
Warlocks are dark, relentless casters who bend demons and the powers of Hell to their will. Hell itself is the source of their power, conjured through ritual, alchemy, and spellcraft. The Warlock is not a servant of Hell; they are its bane, using its unholy fruits against itself.
It takes natural-born insight, exceptional willpower, and rigorous training to resist the temptation of corruption. Even the best can fail. They roam the world as ragged outcasts, scavenging their forebears’ knowledge—some seeking mastery over their inner demons, others hunting demons where they rise.
Read on the origins of Warlocks in the official blog post.
