Developer Blizzard Entertainment took part in The Game Awards 2025 to reveal that Lord of Hatred, Diablo IV’s newest expansion, arrives on April 28, 2026.
Mephisto plays the central role in Diablo IV. While his involvement in the base campaign was mostly subtle, with the players’ attention focused on pursuing Lilith, the scale of his influence became apparent with the release of the first expansion: Vessel of Hatred.
Do you believe you can stand against the inevitable when Mephisto regains his power in Lord of Hatred? What does Lilith have to do with the unfolding events? Prepare for the reckoning to arrive in April.
“Hatred rises and Sanctuary is on the brink of destruction at Mephisto’s hands. The next chapter of The Age of Hatred saga is upon us.”
